Thank you for choosing 一起畫臉譜 AR (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose information when you use our App, including data collected via ARKit and the TrueDepth API.

1. Information Collected via TrueDepth API and Camera

1.1 Data Collected

The App collects only non-identifiable 3D facial geometry data via the TrueDepth API, which cannot be used to recognize or identify individual users. This includes:

  • 3D facial contour coordinates (e.g., positions of forehead, cheekbones, nose, mouth, and jawline).

  • 2D facial feature point coordinates (to map facial movements and expressions).

  • Real-time facial movement data (to track changes in facial expressions for interactive feedback).

In addition, the App allows users to voluntarily capture photos and videos of the AR facial interaction effects (e.g., AR facial makeup, Sichuan Bian Lian effects) within the App. These user-generated media files (photos/videos) are stored locally on your iPad device at your discretion, as initiated by your explicit operation.
 

1.2 Camera Permission Usage

The App requests camera access solely to:

  • Capture real-time 2D facial images, which are processed locally on your device to align with 3D geometric data from the TrueDepth API, rendering AR facial makeup, Sichuan Bian Lian (face-changing) effects, and other interactive elements in real time.

  • Enable users to voluntarily capture photos and videos of the AR effects, which are stored locally on your iPad as per your operation.
     

2. Purposes of Data Collection

All data collected via the TrueDepth API and camera is used exclusively for the core interactive functions of the App and user-initiated local storage, with no secondary or unrelated uses. Specific purposes include:

  1. AR Facial Makeup & Bian Lian Interaction: Map 3D facial geometry data to render virtual Sichuan opera facial makeup, allowing you to preview and interact with different makeup styles in real time.

  2. Facial Expression Tracking: Track small changes in your facial expressions (e.g., smiling, eye blinking) to trigger dynamic AR effects (e.g., makeup color changes, temporary "face-changing" animations).

  3. User Experience Optimization: Adjust AR effect rendering accuracy based on facial geometry data (e.g., adapting makeup size and position to fit different face shapes) — this optimization is performed locally on your device and does not involve data uploads.

  4. User-Initiated Media Storage: Support users in voluntarily capturing and storing photos/videos of AR effects locally on their iPad for personal viewing and use.
     

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any data collected by the App (including non-identifiable facial geometry data and user-captured photos/videos) to third parties under any circumstances. This includes:

  • No sharing with advertising partners, analytics providers, or any external services.

  • No disclosure to third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes, except as required by applicable law or government regulations.
     

4. Data Storage and Retention

  1. Storage Location:

    1. All facial geometry data collected via the TrueDepth API is stored locally on your iOS device only. No such data is uploaded to our servers or any cloud storage services.

    2. User-captured photos and videos are stored locally on your iPad device at your discretion, managed through iOS native photo library functions. The App does not transfer these media files to any servers.

  2. Retention Period:

    1. The temporary facial geometry data collected via the TrueDepth API is retained only while the App is running. When you close the App, all such temporary data is automatically deleted from your device.

    2. User-captured photos and videos are retained locally on your iPad until you manually delete them via the iOS photo library. The App does not automatically delete these user-generated media files.

  3. You may manually clear all cached temporary data of the App by navigating to App Settings > Clear Local Data (this will not affect user-captured photos/videos stored in the iOS photo library).
     

5. User Rights

You have full control over the data collected by the App and user-generated media files:

  • Permission Revocation: You can revoke camera and TrueDepth API access at any time by going to iOS Settings > 一起畫臉譜AR > Camera and toggling off the permission. Revoking access will disable AR facial interaction and media capture functions but will not affect other App features or existing locally stored photos/videos.

  • Data Deletion:

    • Temporary facial geometry data is automatically deleted when the App is closed, or can be manually cleared via the in-app "Clear Local Data" function.

    • User-captured photos and videos can be manually deleted by you through the iOS photo library at any time.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy in the App or via other communication channels. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
